I was just thinking about how important it is to attain a good techie team during a production.� I remember seeing a play called Fame at Bucholtz, which didnapos;t lack in talent as much as the sound and lighting systems.� First of, I could barely hear what the actors were saying or singing, and the lights were all over the place, never centered in the right place, and wondering around the stage without a particular purpose.� It made me realize that no matter how talented the actors or beautiful the vision, a good theatre piece cannot come together without a good tech team.� And if they arenapos;t gods already, I think they should be, because they transform the basis of how we perceive the stage. Without the technical aspect, thatre just wouldnapos;t exist.� Techie also help run the show smoothly, giving up their precious time to do acts like move the scenery across the stage or make sure the actors get out on time.� One show i remember having to move around the scenery myself, and realizing how tedious the task is without some techie hands around.� All in all Iapos;d like to commend you if you ever did any backstage work, because youapos;ve made the life of actors so much easier.� Not to mention viewable
